Cloverfield Behind the Scenes

This has been online for sometime, but because of the excess of Cloverfield videos online we had missed out on it. That's what happens when you damn kids decide to post scenes of Cloverfield with My Chemical Romance or Paramore music in the background. COMPLETELY useful to the rest of the Intraweb, I assure you.

Don't forget to Pre-Order, Cloverfield on DVD April 22nd.

War Inc. Coming to theaters in.........what?

War Inc is coming to theaters in September, but this clip has shown up online featuring Hilary Duff putting a scorpion into her nethers. Where it should be.

Wikipedia has this to say about the plot;

War Inc. (formally known as Brand Hauser) is set in the future, when the desert country of Turagistan is torn by a riot after a private corporation, owned by the former US president, has taken over the whole state. Brand Hauser (John Cusack) is a hit man who suppresses his emotions by gobbling down on hot sauce and is hired by the corporation's head to kill the CEO of their competitors. Everything changes when the ruthless killer finds himself head-over-heels in love with a sexy reporter portrayed by Marisa Tomei.

Cloverfield Easter Egg?

Could the monster be an Alien?

Ziggy is normally known to be one step behind.
But, in this case, could he find himself two steps ahead?

Notice the eloquence of language spoken by the Alien.

So polite; so to the point; non-demanding.

No longer are the outsiders interested in being taken to our leader!

They want entertainment.

First Shots of Ray Park as Snake Eyes

The first images of Ray Park as Snake Eyes from the 2009 Live Action G.I.Joe movie are now online. When the rumors started that they FINALLY were making the Live Action film, the only name that popped up to play Snake Eyes in fans minds was Ray Park, and they delivered. These pictures are also featured in USA Today which hits newstands today.

Alice Through Tim's Looking Glass ... Inside Burton's Wonderland

Tim Burton tackles Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (a.k.a Lewis Carroll) in his forthcoming film, "Alice In Wonderland."

Not to be confused with Marcus Nispel's ALICE ... Based on the popular video game from American McGee, the creators of QUAKE, where Sarah Michelle Gellar will battle ... um ... something.

Burton will undoubtedly cast his own requiem into the shadows of Carroll's un-badgered vision of loneliness, misguided desires, and political corruption.

IMDb lists his writer as Linda Woolverton, who has penned many a tale for Disney Studios including: Lion King and Mulan. She is also Producing this picture.

Will this be as far-fetched as the written work? Or, will it fall into the shadows of yet another book-to-movie-to-movie-to-movie-merchandise tie-in that we have all become accustomed to?

Alice, Sweet Alice.

Now that Burton's got scissors in hand ... Let's hope he's running with them!

I Believed in Harvey Dent

The Dentmobile has been travelling the country this week on the Campaign Trail, and today they ventured through Seattle. AXB Enterprises was there. Myself and my collegues showed up around 9:30 to check out Golden Age Comics downstairs of Pike Place Market to find information on the event, yet they somehow knew NOTHING of it. We went back up to the marketplace and shortly after 11 THESE people showed up.

Needless to say we were let down. Sullen. Broken. Depressed. And more than a little bit angered. When we found out that these were just some Golden Age employees cashing in on The Dentmobile. At around 11:30 The Dentmobile showed up with gifts in hand.

More to come as I scan in the actual paperwork and sign up sheets given out at the "rally" along with shots of the t-shirts, buttons, and car clings that will be filling the AXB offices for the next few days.

Incredible Hulk trailer online

MTV.com has exclusive rights to broadcast the all new, brand spanking, Incredible Hulk video!!!

Why has it taken them so long to put this out for our viewing pleasure? Well, as you can see once you click on this fake link of a media player, it's a let down...to say the least.

Video opens a pop up to MTV.com

Edward Norton is fantastic, that's not in question. Didn't we want to "Bite the curb"? I think so. This though, not so good. Not so good at all.

At least we know it'll be better than Spiderman 3.

But, ... Can They Get a Date?

It was bound to happen.

These guys have taken the 'R' from ARG and used it for own their advantage.

Members of the San Fransisco group The Guitar Zeros have found a way to modify their 'Guitar Hero' instruments to make real music.

"Two Guitar Hero controllers + one drummist + one singer + zero guitars = the guitar zeros. Lets go."

Not since some fools began re-enacting Super Mario Adventures for their High School variety shows have we seen this type of 'grunge' effect perpetrate our reality.

Only time will tell when Metal Gear will be used by our military to wipe out our foe.

"Mac or PC compatible baby!"

One Year to Midnight

Zack Snyder has posted promotional images from Watchmen to commemorate that the film will be release 1 year from today. Cloverfield was filmed and released in 6 months, but it takes Watchmen 2 years to finish? What's that about? Doesn't matter, because the images are awesome.

follow the white space (s)

There's a new game in town.

aladygma

With the speculation of a Cloverfield Sequel on the horizon, the latest buzz is the viral advertising of ©aladygma.
I've followed this since 2-2-08 (the day it first appeared) and, although the site lacks 'color,' it is somewhat interesting.

The number sequences do not pan out to much:
00 | 11 | 22 | 88
00 | 11 | 28 | 28
211 | 2008
(BTW - The 211th day of 2008 is July 29 ... a Tuesday. Movies are released on Fridays and DVDs are released on Tuesdays.)

What does it all mean?
Amgydala (aladygma backwards), according to wiki, is part of the memory receptors of the brain.

I remember following the viral campaign for Cloverfield since 7/7/07, when 1-18-08.com first appeared.
Seven months later, there were to be a total of 11 pictures on the site.

I remember the false leads:
ethanhaaswasright.com
abz3293.com
rageofthegods.com
48-hours.net

I remember the leads that were supposedly 'part' of the film:
slusho.jp
tagruato.jp
tidowave.com
jamieandteddy.com (password=jllovesth)

None of any of this panned out to much.
But it was fun to explore.
Even the Dharma Initiative logo at the beginning of Cloverfield (as a reference to LOST) took us quite by surprise.

Numbers can be quite intriguing:
1 - is the loneliest number
2 - can be as bad as 1, it's the loneliest number since the number 1

But, ...
11 ? (There's eleven letters in C-l-o-v-e-r-f-i-e-l-d. The countdown has got to start somewhere)
10 ? (the number of parasites included with Hasbro's Cloverfield doll)
9th [configuration] ? (3+3+3=9)
815 ? (LOST flight)
7-7-07 ? (Date of first on-line Cloverfield siting)
666 ? (can anyone actually drink that many?)
5-22-09 ? (Date of Rob's party - and possible Cloverfield 2 release?)
4 8 15 16 23 42 ? (I played it, and won, and my life went to Hell on 9/9/89)
3 ? (the normal leaf configuration of said clover)
2-2-08 ? (aladygma.com appears)
1-18-08 ?

0

Is it any coincidence that the word "number" is spelled with a "u" ... NUMB?
But, abbreviated, number is "No.?"

Even before Cloverfield was released, we could assume a sequel would be forthcoming.
J.J. Abrams said he wanted a purely 'American' monster.

Now we got one!

Are you following the white space (s)?
